The Texas Longhorns dropped an embarrassing 63-21 decision to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday, falling to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in Big 12 play.
With the loss, Texas is tied for seventh place in the conference with Iowa State. The Cyclones (4-2, 1-2) lost a heartbreaker at home to undefeated Kansas State, 27-21.
The Wildcats (6-0, 3-0) are alone in first place in the Big 12. Behind Kansas State is a logjam of four teams at 2-1; Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia are tied for second place in the conference.
Baylor and Kansas are the only winless teams in Big 12 play. The Bears (3-2, 0-2) were defeated at home, 49-21 by TCU, and Kansas (1-5, 0-3) fell, 20-14, to visiting Oklahoma State.
