After beating the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson tide the Texas A&M Aggies made significant jump in the BCS standings from No. 15 to No. 8, enough that they may get consideration for an at large bid to a BCS bowl. Texas A&M is unlikely to reach the SEC championship game with Alabama needing a loss against Auburn (2-8, 0-7) for the Aggies to have any chance at the conference title.
A strong finish could get the Aggies into the BCS as an at large team, however. four SEC still sit ahead of them in Florida, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia.
The Texas Longhorns also made a move this week from No. 17 to No. 15. Texas Tech was the third team from the Lonestar State in this week's rankings as they fell from No. 22 to No. 23.
Kansas State took over the No. 1 ranking int he BCS standings with Oregon at No. 2 and Notre Dame at No. 3.
