Rockets vs. Blazers recap: Rockets fall short in OT, lose 119-117

The Rockets blew a 16 point lead, eventually losing to the Blazers in overtime. James Harden led the Blazers with 29 points in the loss.

The Houston Rockets led by as many as 16 points, but ended up falling to the Portland Trail Blazers in overtime Friday, losing 119-117. The Rockets were led by 29 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals from James Harden, but couldn't overcome Portland's Damian Lillard, Nicolas Batum and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Batum led the Blazers with 35 points, including shooting 5-8 from behind the three-point arc. Lillard was instrumental in taking the game to overtime, and ended with 27 points. Aldridge also added 27.

Despite the loss, the Rockets played a balanced game with big contributions from multiple players. Chandler Parsons finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Omer Asik finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds, including two key free throws in the overtime, but Asik ended up fouling out with 1:21 remaining in overtime. Jeremy Lin finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Marcus Morris finished with 16 points off the bench, including going 4-6 from three.

The loss drops the Rockets to 4-5 on the season.
