The Houston Rockets sent rookies Scott Machado and Terrence Jones to their Developmental League affiliate Rio Grande Valley Vipers, according to beat writer Jonathan Feigen.

Jones has played in seven of the Rockets 15 games this season, while Machado has only received playing time in one game. The Rockets recalled Machado from the D-League on Monday, Nov. 26.

Both players are third on the depth chart at their respective positions. Patrick Peterson has started for Houston at power forward with Marcus Morris coming off the bench, while Jeremy Lin is starting at point guard for the Rockets, and Toney Douglas backing him up.

The two players should be available tonight for the Vipers, as the team will face the Tulsa 66ers, the Oklahoma City Thunder's D-League affiliate. Jones will get the chance to face off against former Kentucky teammate Jeremy Lamb.

The Rockets host the Utah Jazz tonight. Tip-off is at 7 p.m CT.
