Derrick Favors injury: Jazz forward doubtful vs. Rockets with strained foot

Utah's Derrick Favors is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Rockets after aggravating a foot strain against the Thunder Friday.

Utah Jazz forward Derrick Favors has a strained arch and is considered doubtful for Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets, according to David Locke, radio announcer for the Jazz. Favors' injury was aggravated during Friday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Favors left early and was unable to return to the game.

Favors told Bill Oram of the Salt Lake City Tribune that his foot has been hurting since Utah's Nov. 19 game against the Rockets. Favors is averaging 9.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season. Both averages are career highs.

In addition to Favors, the Rockets are also unlikely to face Marvin Williams, who is still recovering from a concussion suffered earlier in the week. DeMarre Carroll is expected to start in Williams' place.

The Rockets are coming off their own loss to the Thunder on Wednesday and will attempt to get back on track. An injury-depleted Jazz roster should help Houston's chances.
