The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs both hope to earn a spot in the BCS National Championship game, but only the winner of the SEC Championship game will receive a spot to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Bulldogs made the SEC title game last season, but lost to the LSU Tigers. That helped paved the way for the Crimson Tide to meet LSU in the BCS title game, a game they won 21-0.
The loser of this game will likely miss out on a BCS berth overall, as the Florida Gators are currently No. 5 in the rankings, and will likely rank ahead of the loser.
The teams are led by two of the most efficient passers in the nation. Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron has completed 67.2 percent of his passes on the season, while Aaron Murray has completed 66.6 percent.
Game Time: Saturday, Dec. 1; 3 p.m CT
