The Houston Texans have gone ahead and listed 22 players on the injury report, well over a third of their active roster. Of those 22, 11 participated fully in Friday's practice and are listed as probable for Sunday's game against their AFC South rival, the Indianapolis Colts.
Among those whose status is truly up in the air, those of highest importance to Texans fans would be strong safety Glover Quin and starting right tackle Derek Newton, both of whom are questionable and practiced in a limited capacity Friday. For Quin, it was his first practice of the week as he tries to recover from a hip injury. Inside linebacker Darryl Sharpton is also questionable with a toe injury.
Cornerback Johnathan Joseph is listed as probable as he tries to work himself back from a groin injury. He was a limited participant all week. Brooks Reed and Alan Ball are both still on the shelf and out for the week.
