The Houston Rockets jumped out to an early first quarter lead before the Utah Jazz came roaring back in the second. The Rockets were outscored 31-18 in the second quarter and trail 49-44 at the half.
Luis Scola had a big first half with 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the Rockets. Goran Dragic came off the bench to add nine points with Chase Buddinger chipping in five. Houston connected on 41 percent of its field goal attempts but was just 2-12 from three-point range in the half.
C.J. Miles paced the Jazz with 13 points while Devin Harris added 12. Al Jefferson finished the half with eight points and seven boards. Utah built a 26-18 rebounding advantage over the Rockets in the first half while hitting 45 percent of their shots.
