The Houston Rockets ended their two-game slide by defeating the Phoenix Suns 99-81. This was a total team effort as six players were in double figures with Kevin Martin leading the way with 16 points. The Rockets did not shoot well from the field as they made only 43 percent of their shows, however they were perfect from the free throw line by making all 17 of their attempts.
The result of this game was not surprising since coming into this game the Rockets were 9-3 at home and the Suns only 4-7 on the road. Plus, the Suns looked lethargic and slow compared to the Rockets who seemed to get every loose ball and any rebound that was even close seemed to go the Rockets way.
The Rockets used their 20-point first half lead and were able to cruise in the second half to defeat the Suns by 17 points, and were never challenged Friday night. The Suns were led in scoring by Jared Dudley and Marcin Gortat who each scored 15 points, but that was not enough to keep the Suns in this game.
