The Houston Rockets started fast and ran out to a 50-40 lead over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Rockets are once again without their starting backcourt in Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin but built a lead thanks to the steady play of Goran Dragic.
Dragic scored 11 points in the first half and handed out three assists while knocking down 5-9 shots. Luis Scola added nine points while Courtney Lee finished with seven. Houston hit 46 percent of its shot attempts in the first half and hold a 22-16 rebounding edge at the intermission.
D.J. Augustin leads the Bobcats with nine points while Reggie Williams and Gerald Henderson finished with six each. Charlotte shot 36 percent in the first half but were a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line.
