Rockets Schedule 2012: Houston Has Opportunity To Move Up This Week

The Western Conference playoff race is extremely tight and with less than 20 games left in the regular season, every game counts. Currently the Rockets are tied for the No. 8 spot but they are only 1.5 games games out of the No. 4 spot. This week the Rockets stay within the state this week for their three games.

Their first game is against the Sacramento Kings which should be a very good opportunity to get a win and stay in the top eight, but the other two games are going to be more challenging.

The Rockets second game is on the road against the Dallas Mavericks and it will be their second game in as many nights. This game will be a rematch from Saturday night's 101-99 defeat the Rockets had against the Mavericks.

Rockets Schedule

Next 5 Games

Sacramento Mon 03/26 7:00 PM CDT
@ Dallas Tue 03/27 7:30 PM CDT
Memphis Fri 03/30 7:00 PM CDT

The final game of the week is against the Memphis Grizzlies at home, and the Grizzlies who are one of the teams jumbled in the bottom half of the Western Conference. This is a key game that the Rockets must win if they want to stay in the playoff race.

The Rockets schedule this week is not too daunting and they have a realistic chance of going 3-0 this week, and if they do that they should create a little bit of breathing room.
