The 2012 Shell Houston Open was able to catchup after a rain soaked Thursday to have all competitors complete 54 holes of golf. The leader after three rounds of play is South African Louis Oosthuizen who shot a 6-under, 66 on Saturday and is now 17-under for the tournament and leads by two shots.
The best round of the day belonged to American Hunter Mahan who shot a 7-under, 65 and is in second place behind Oosthuizen and trails by two strokes.
Other players who are chasing Oosthuzen are Hunter Mahan who has gotten better as the tournament progressed by shooting 69, 67 and 65, and is now 15-under for the tournament. Just behind that is Carl Petterson and Brit Brian Davis who both are at 14-under.
Houston native Jeff Maggert had his worst round of the tournament and shot a four-over 76 and is now 8-under for the tournament and dropped 13 spots to a tie at No. 14 in just one round. Former Houston Cougar Fred Couples shot a 1-under 71 and is 3-under for the tournament and is tied for No. 37.
