Despite the fact that the NCAA basketball season hasn't yet concluded - it will in roughly eight or so hours - college football is already on the minds of many, and SB Nation's Jason Kirk has your early schedule primer, with must see games for the 2012 season sorted by the week.
As you might have expected, the list includes a number of SEC conference battles, and perhaps a few games between opponents that don't usually come to mind when you think of football powerhouses.
More after the jump.
Week 2: Louisiana Tech Vs. Houston. Case Keenum has (finally) exhausted his NCAA eligibility, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't count on loads of offense when these two schools collide.
Florida Vs. Texas A&M. We'll quickly find out what Texas A&M is made of in the SEC when they take on perennially-strong Florida in an early season conference test.
Week 5: Baylor Vs. West Viriginia: Speaking of programs (like Houston) losing star quarterbacks, the Baylor Bears will face an early test when they travel to Morgantown for their first Big 12 meeting with conference newcomer West Virginia minus-RG3.
Week 11: Alabama Vs. Texas A&M. Did we say we'd find out what Texas A&M is made of when they take on Florida? Well, the true litmus test will come against the Crimson Tide in Week 11.
That's just a taste of what 2012 has to offer. And once you read the full list, you too will be counting down the days until the opening kickoff of college football season.
