The No. 9-ranked Texas A&M Aggies are putting it on the Texas Longhorns through the first six inning of this premiere Big 12 Conference series opener. The Aggies jumped out offensively in the first inning, scoring two runs, the first on an RBI double by junior outfielder Tyler Naquin. After Naquin advanced to third base on a wild pitch, he was plated on a sacrifice fly from Jacob House.
In the third inning, the Aggies were back at it and scored three runs to extend their lead to 5-0. House hit a two-out RBI single to score the A&M's third run of the game. Catcher Troy Stein singled to the left side for the next two scores.
The fifth inning saw Stein double to left center field to score the sixth run of the game for the Aggies, while the Longhorns remain scoreless.
Aggies pitcher Michael Wacha has given up only four hits to the Longhorns through six innings.
