Baseball America has released its final April version of its weekly Top 25 rankings, and a trio of Houston-area teams find themselves on the list.
Texas A&M, who won two out of three games against 25th-ranked Texas this week, stands at ninth in the rankings, and boasts a 31-13 overall record. The Aggies will travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston State on Tuesday night for a one-game stand before resuming Big 12 conference play on Friday versus Texas Tech.
The Aggies trail Rice by just three spots in the rankings, as the Owls stood pat at sixth after an idle week. Rice next plays on Wednesday night, when they host Texas Southern.
Meanwhile, Sam Houston State, which won three out of four games this week, rose from 21st to 24th. They'll start their week of games against A&M on Tuesday before traveling for a three game series at UT-Arlington, beginning on Friday.
