Texas A&M Vs. Texas State Baseball: Aggies Win Home Finale

The sixth-ranked Texas A&M baseball team won its home finale on Tuesday night with a 5-1 win over Texas State.

Daniel Mengden went seven innings in the start, giving up seven hits and one earned run. At the plate, Cole Lankford went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Tyler Naquin went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. The Aggies scored three runs in the third inning, including a two-run single from Naquin. A&M scored one run in the fifth and one in the seventh. Texas State's one run came in the top of the seventh.

The Aggies had 11 hits, while Texas State had nine, but the Bobcats couldn't bring many of those runners home.

Texas A&M finished a seven-game homestand with a 6-1 record. The Aggies will finish the regular season with a three-game series at Oklahoma City this weekend.
