Sam Houston State Vs. Central Arkansas: Bearkats Win 7-4 Over Bears

Sam Houston State won their final series of the season by taking two of three from Central Arkansas

Sam Houston State took two of three from Central Arkansas and won Saturday's series and season finale 7-4.The first five innings of this game was scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when Sam Houston State got on the board first when Kevin Miller scored on a passed ball, and then the second run came when second basemen Jessie Plumlee singled up the middle to score Ryan O'Hearn.

Central Arkansas responded with their own pair of runs Bryan Willson hit a two-run home run to the game at two. The two teams each scored a run in the seventh inning, but the offense for Sam Houston State kept rolling as they scored two runs in each of the eighth and ninth innings to ultimately win 7-4.

Sam Houston State had big games with Plumlee who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI and a walk, and left fielder Luke Plucheck who was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and a run.

The next game for Sam Houston State will be in the Southland Conference tournament that begins on Wednesday.
