Astros Vs. Rangers Final Score: Houston Wins Game 2 Against Texas, 6-5

In Game 2 of the Silver Boot Series, the Houston Astros earned their first win by defeating the Texas Rangers 6-5. The Astros came back from a 4-0 deficit which included an inside the park home run by the Rangers David Murphy which accounted for three of the four runs in the third inning.

The Astros offense responded by scoring six runs through the third through sixth inning. During that stretch the Astros had home runs by Chris Snyder, Carlos Lee and Justin Maxwell; those home runs accounted for five of the Astros six runs. All of those home runs came off of Rangers starting pitcher Derek Holland.

Perhaps with this type of offensive output for the Astros with three home runs their offensive slump could be on the way out for the Astros.

Lucas Harrell earned the win for the Astros by throwing 5.2 innings, striking out six, giving up five hits including the inside the park home run but only had one earned run. Brett Myers pitched the ninth inning and earned his 10th save of the season.
