2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Projections: Texas A&M, Rice Still Expected To Host A Regional

Despite losing games in their respective conference tournaments, both Texas A&M and Rice are still expected to be a regional host. Not only are the two schools projected to host they both are on the cusp of earning one of the eight national seeds.

However, the Joseph Durate of the Houston Chronicle believes that Rice's chance at a national seed is gone since they have been eliminated from playing for the Conference USA championship//

Durate could be right Rice has very little way to improve their chance at a seed since they have one game left against against Southern Miss in pool play of the Conference USA tournament.

Texas A&M still has a chance to win the Big 12 tournament and if they can win their conference tournament that would go a long way in earning a national seed.
