2012 C-USA Baseball Tournament: Houston Wins First Game Of Tournament, Defeats Memphis 7-3

This game between the Memphis Tigers and Houston Cougars had absolutely no affect on the Conference USA tournament as Memphis had already clinched a spot in the championship game by prior to this game.

The result of the game was Houston defeating Memphis 7-3 and the win for Houston gave them their first of the tournament. Houston got on the board first by scoring a run in the second inning when Codey Morehouse singled to center and knocked in Price Jacobs.

Houston would then go on to score three runs in the fourth and fifth innings to go up 7-0 by knocking around Memphis starter Michael Wills.

Morehouse led the way for Houston by going 2-for-4, three RBI and two scored two runs, and Matt Hernandez earned the win by tossing six innings, giving up six hits, three runs and struck out six batters.
