LSU Vs. Ole Miss Baseball Final Score: Tigers Win 4-3 In Extra Innings

LSU and Ole Miss played a lengthy SEC baseball showdown in the weekend series opener on Friday night at Swayze Field, which resulted in the No. 4-ranked Tigers pulling away with a 4-3 victory in the 13th inning.

With the win, LSU improved its overall record to 37-10, while standing 15-7 in league play. The Runnin Rebels dropped to 30-17 on the season and 10-12 in SEC action.

The Tigers seemed to have the game under control with a 2-0 lead after the third inning. Ole Miss responded by scoring three unanswered runs to take the lead over LSU, before the Tigers tied it up again in the eighth inning.

There was nothing doing in those extra innings until the top of the 13th inning when Tyler Moore brought in Raph Rhymes with an RBI-single to the right side.

Game 2 will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m.
