2012 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals: LSU Vs. Stony Brook, Winner Advances To Omaha

LSU has been tested against the surprise team of the tournament in Stony Brook, and now face an elimination game on Sunday afternoon. The first game went to LSU 5-4 in a rain delayed game that had to be finished on Saturday morning, and Stony Brook was able to slow down the LSU offense to win 3-1 in the second game of the series.

LSU is bringing out Ryan Eades to pitch in Game 3, who happens to be the 2011 Cape Cod pitcher of the year. While Stony Brooks leadoff hitter is Travis Jankowski who just happens to be the reigning Cape Cod player of the year. So that first at-bat between the two will be a scene.

Eades has been solid all year for LSU with a 5-2 record but has allowed opposing teams to hit .287 off of him, and routinely finds himself in trouble. Eades nearly always gets out of those jams but, Stony Brook is not a team to let pitchers off the hook.
