2012 U.S. Open Golf Leaderboard: Tiger Woods Loses Lead; Joe Ogilvie +4 Overall

Tiger Woods took sole possession of first place in the 2012 U.S. Open on Friday, but it didn't last long.

Michael Thompson entered the day with a three-shot lead on the field, but has shot 3-over on the day. Woods birdied hole No. 3 to take over the top spot, but bogeyed Nos. 5 and 6 to drop to a tie for fourth at even par. Thompson is now in a three-way tie for first at 1-under with Jim Furyk, who shot 1-under on the day, and 17-year-old Beau Hossler is 1-under through 10 on the day.

As for area golfers, Austin resident Joe Ogilvie is tied for 29th at 4-over overall. On the day, he is 1-over through five holes. Texas alum Ben Estes is tied for 41st at 5-over.
