U.S. Open 2012: First Place Earns Webb Simpson $1.44 Million

The only thing heavier than the trophy Webb Simpson won will be his wallet. By taking home the U.S. Open title, Simpson earned $1.44 million.

The difference between first and second place at the U.S. Open was nearly $750,000.
