2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Final Score: LSU Defeats Oregon State 7-1, Advances To Regional Final

LSU moved one step closer to making to the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament as they defeated Oregon State 7-1. The scoring came early for LSU as they scored four runs by the end of the third inning to take a 4-1 lead.

All four of those runs by LSU came off of Oregon State starting pitcher Dan Child. Child only last 5.1 innings and in addition to giving up four runs they also walked two and allowed seven hits.

LSU's starting pitcher had a near flawless game as Kevin Gausman pitched eight innings and allowed only one run in the win. Gausman also struck out three batters and limited Oregon State to seven hits and one walk. Nick Goody finished out the game for LSU with a perfect ninth inning while striking out two batters.

LSU will play in the regional final on Sunday evening, but they first have to wait for the Sunday afternoon game between the Oregon State and the Louisiana-Monroe to find out who they will play.
