2012 Wimbledon: Seeding Announced; Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic Are No. 1s

Tennis' third Grand Slam at Wimbledon gets underway on June 25 - July 8, with the top tennis players in the world vying for the men's and women's titles. With the tournament just a few days away the top-15 seeds for the men and women were announced.

On the men's side the No. 1 seed is the 2011 Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic. Djokovic will be looking to defend his title and win his second ever Wimbledon championships.

Maria Sharapova was named the top women's seed, and she is worthy of that seed since she is coming off winning the 2012 French Open which gave her the career Grand Slam.
