Oregon State advances to take on LSU in the Baton Rouge Regional final after defeating Louisiana Monroe 11-2 on Sunday. Oregon State scored four runs in the second and then took a 7-1 lead with three more in the fourth.
Ben Wetzler allowed eight hits and two unearned runs in 8 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Wetzler struck out eight and walked just three. Shelby Aulds takes the loss after allowing six hits and four runs in 1 2/3 innings.
Oregon State banged out 13 hits as a team in the game. Michael Conforto went 3 for 4 with four RBIs. Tyler Smith added two hits and three runs driven in. Caleb Clapp and Joey Clowers finished collected two hits each for Louisiana Monroe.
