TCU was able to advance to the regional final after defeating Ole Miss 5-2. This was the second time that the two teams met as Ole Miss got the better of TCU 6-2 in the opening round of the College Station Regional. Now the two teams will play one last time on Monday where the winner will advance to the Super Regional round.
Ole Miss got on the board first in the top of the first when Matt Snyder hit a RBI single to go up 1-0, and the next scoring for them would not come until the sixth inning where they also scored one run.
TCU had an offensive run that began in the fourth inning when Derek Odell hit a two-run home run to go up 2-1, and TCU continued the scoring through the fifth, sixth and seven innings where they scored one run in each to ultimately win 5-2.
