MLB Trade Rumors: Carlos Lee Thinking About Accepting Dodgers Offer

After turning down multiple trade offers thanks to his vetoing power, longtime Houston Astros standout Carlos Lee might finally accept a deal.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are interesting in trading for him according to multiple sources, including Brian McTaggart via twitter.

Lee, 36, is still a very productive player and has shown that this season, hitting .290 with five home runs and 29 RBI thus far. The Dodgers are in the midst of an epic scoring drought, which has seen then get shutout four of the last five games. With Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier on the shelf, Los Angeles is desperate for some punch in it's lineup.

For Houston a deal would make all the sense in the world. While it would obviously be a short term hit, the Astros need to focus on the future and move on from the past. Lee is a wonderful player and has meant plenty to the organization, but he will be long gone when this team is competitive again.
