LSU (46-16) will get an early start at making yet another trip to Omaha, taking on surprise Regional winner Stony Brook (50-12) starting at 11 a.m. local time on Friday morning. The Sea Wolves, champions of the America East Conference, are making their first Super Regional appearance and are facing a juggernaut Tigers program that boasts a slightly lopsided resume by comparison (courtesy of LSU Sports):
LSU has the highest all-time NCAA Tournament winning percentage (126-47, .728), and the Tigers are appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the 25th time.
