The LSU Tigers were looking forward to putting away the Stony Brook Seawolves on Saturday. Things were looking up for the Tigers after a 5-4 win in 12 innings after Friday's game had been postponed by rain. However, Stony Brook rebounded later in the afternoon and shut down the Tigers offense to just three hits in a 3-1 defeat in the Super Regionals at Alex Box Stadium on Saturday.
Stony Brook's win snaps LSU's 11-game postseason home win streak (last loss was in 2008).
