So much for that road winning streak the Astros were on the verge of with their 10th away victory of the season on Monday. The Astros went back to business as usual with an 8-2 loss against the Padres on Tuesday night, as Houston failed to produce much offense or solid pitching and made the home San Diego team look like it was actually pretty good.
The Stros didn't do too much of anything well on Tuesday, outside of putting runs together in the second and third innings with aggressive base running.. They let Ross Ohlendorf, who had a terrible record against Houston before Tuesday, go six innings while giving up only six hits with... you guessed it, six strikeouts.
Seven guys totaled 13 hits for the Padres, while Matt Gonzalez, J.D. Martinez and Jordan Schafer accounted for the Astros' six hits - three of those coming from Gonzalez.
Jordan Lyles is still winless on the road this season. He gave up 11 hits and five earned runs in his six innings of work.
