The final round of the 2012 British Open gets underway very early Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m. CT, but the television and online coverage does not get started until 6 a.m. ET when ESPN begins their blow out coverage on television with ESPN and also online at ESPN3.
The top two groups do not get underway until even later at 8:20 a.m. CT when Tiger Woods and Brandt Snedeker tee off, and then the final group of Adam Scott and Graeme McDowell tees off at 8:30 a.m. CT.
ESPN3 has a plethora of viewing options to view the British Open. The most popular feed is going to be the one that follows the television coverage on ESPN. ESPN3 also has a channel dedicated to hole Nos. 1 and 18, plus there is coverage of hole Nos. 9, 10 and 11 and there is also a Spanish language feed as another option. The WatchESPN app feature all of this same coverage and can be seen via a tablet or mobile phone.
In addition to all of that ESPN coverage there is even more at TheOpen.com which has the same channel setup as ESPN3, but they have a different broadcasting crew than ESPN's with Dominik Holyer and Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes calling the coverage for the British Open's website.
TheOpen.com also has other features such as video press conferences of golfers, hourly updates and coverage of the event on a radio feed. All of the TheOpen.com's coverage is available through their Android, iPhone and iPad app.
