Astros Vs. Diamondbacks Final Score: Arizona Completes Sweep, Defeats Houston 8-2

The Houston Astros have once again been swept as they lost three straight to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sunday's finale saw the Diamondbacks defeat the Astros 8-2. The loss for the Astros was their sixth straight and 19 of their last 21.

In Sunday's game Astros starting pitcher Jordan Lyles was on the mound for all eight of their runs with five being earned. The damage came in the bottom of the sixth inning where the Diamondbacks scored seven of their eight runs.

Heading into the bottom of the sixth inning the Astros actually were leading 2-1, and the Diamondbacks scored two runs when Miguel Montero grounded into a fielders choice. These runs were not earned by Lyles as the two runs came across the plate due to a throwing error by Astros shortstop Mawin Gonzalez.

Lyles proceeded to allow a three-run home run by Chris Young and then later on allowed a two-RBI single to Gerardo Parra which put the Diamondbacks up 8-2. The Astros never had a chance to get back in this game as they only managed two hits from the seventh through ninth innings.
