The Houston Rockets were the talk of NBA free-agency this summer as general manager Daryl Morey presented offer sheets to the New York Knicks for point guard Jeremy Lin and to the Chicago Bulls for center Omer Asik that had back-end poison pills attached to them.
As a result, they got the guys they wanted and with a core of young players acquired in the NBA Draft, the Rockets are a young team ready to march into the 2012-2013 full speed ahead.
Houston opens their schedule on Halloween night on the road against the Detroit Pistons. Omer Asik will face his former Bulls teammates for the first time on November 21st at home and again on Christmas Day in Chicago at the United Center.
Jeremy Lin will take on his old team, the Knicks, for the first time on November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving.
