Astros Vs. Pirates Final Score: Pittsburgh Defeats Houston 6-5

The Pittsburgh Pirates scored two runs in the top of the ninth when Starling Mate hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game, and then Drew Sutton scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by Xavier Cedeno. Both runs were credited to Rhiner Cruz, but Cedeno allowed the sacrifice fly and also threw the wild pitch. However, it was just Cruz who allowed the base runners.

In the bottom of the ninth the Astros got a single by J.D. Martinez and then pinch runner Jordan Schafer stole second base to be in scoring position. Justin Maxwell struck out and Brian Bogusevic flied out to end the game.

The loss for the Astros was their 11th straight which ties a franchise record for most consecutive losses in a season, and the Astros now have the worst record in all of baseball at 34-67.
