Astros Vs. Pirates Final Score: Houston Falls To Pittsburgh 4-3

The losing streak for the Houston Astros extended to 12 games as they lost 4-3 to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Astros were going up against Wandy Rodriguez who they just traded recently, and he went six innings, gave up six hits, three runs and struck out five.

Armando Galarraga got the start for the Astros and he pitched fairly well by lasting five innings giving up two runs which came on a pair of home runs.

The Astros took their first lead of the game in the fifth inning when Justin Maxwell hit a two-run triple to give the Astros a 3-2 lead. The Pirates came back in the sixth to tie the game Garret Jones scored on a passed ball, and the game winning score came in the eighth inning when Rod Barajas hit a shallow single to left field to put the Pirates up for good at 4-3.

The Astros failed to comeback in the eighth or ninth inning as they were retired in order in each inning.
