Roger Federer continued his quest for a seventh Wimbledon championship on Friday morning, defeating defending champion Novak Djokovic in four sets at Centre Court of the All England Club to advance to the finals of the 2012 Wimbledon Championships.
A seemingly confused Djokovic managed to win the second set, but that would be his only lead on the day. The defending champion faulted several times with balls hit into the net, and grew visibly angry with his play after the second set. Federer seemed to coast through most of the match, winning by a final score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Federer, advancing to the final for the first time since beating Andy Roddick in 2009, now waits for his finals opponent - He will play the winner of Friday's afternoon match between No. 4 Andy Murray and No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
