SB Nation Preseason All-American 2012: Sean Porter, Luke Joeckel Earn Honors

On Tuesday morning, SB Nation revealed their preseason All-Americans at the running back and linebacker positions in which one Texas A&M player was named. At the linebacker spot, Sean Porter earned an honorable mention with three other players.

The 6-2, 230-pound senior linebacker was first-team All-Big 12 in his junior season after recording a conference leading 9.5 sacks in 2011, including 17 tackles for loss that ranked third among Big 12 players.

On Monday, SB Nation revealed the All-Americans along the offensive and defensive lines that featured an Aggies player in a starting spot. Luke Joeckel was listed as the starting left tackle for the All-American squad after anchoring an offensive line that allowed just nine sacks in 13 games during the 2011 season.

Joeckel, a junior in the 2012 season, was named to the AP All-Big 12 team in his sophomore campaign after the Aggies ranked in the top 25 of all four major offensive statistical categories.
