Padraig Harrington came out of the gates blazing this morning, firing a 7-under 64 in his first round at The Barclays in Farmington, New York.

Harrington, who hasn't won on the PGA Tour since his 2008 victory at the PGA Championship will have to hold off a very strong field for the next three days in order to do so.

Texas native Bob Estes, who hasn't won a PGA event since a 2002 victory at the Kemper Insurance Open, is 1-under after five holes. Estes struggled through an injury-plagued 2011 tour season as he battled a wrist injury, and only made five cuts out of the 12 tournaments he played in. He finished the year 135th on the money list and had to regain his tour card through Q school.

Last year's Barclays winner, Dustin Johnson, shot a opening round 67 to put him in a four-way tie for fourth place, and Tiger Woods opened with a 68, good for an eleven-way tie for 12th place.
