2012 Barclays: Bob Estes Climbs To Third With Strong Friday

After shooting a 69 in Thursday's first round of the 2012 Barclays tournament, Texas-native Bob Estes was in a tie for the No. 26 spot in the tournament. Now after a strong showing on Friday, Estes is up to a tie for third, just one stroke off the tournament lead.

Estes, who hasn't won a tournament in over 10 years, has birdied four holes so far on Friday and has managed to avoid anything over par. With birdies on two of the course's three par-fives (with one yet to play), Estes is just one stroke behind tournament leaders Padraig Harrington and Vijay Singh, and is tied with Rickie Fowler, Nick Watney, Brian Harman for third in the tournament.
