Th Houston Astros (40-86) continue their weekend series against the New York Mets (57-69) on Saturday afternoon when the two teams meet at Citi Field.
The Astros snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 3-1 win in game one of the series on Friday night, thanks to a strong pitching effort led by starter Jordan Lyles.
The Astros dip down to the farm system for Saturday's starter, calling up left-hander Fernando Abad to make his first major league start. Abad has appeared in 30 games this season out of the bullpen for the Astros with a 3.86 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.
The Mets will counter with veteran knuckleballer, R.A. Dickey (15-4, 2.82 ERA), who is coming off of a no-decision in his last start against Colorado despite giving up just three hits and one run in seven innings on the mound. Dickey will try to halt the Mets' current six-game losing streak.
The game will be at 1:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field and will be televised on Fox Sports Houston.
