Sports betting web site Bovada has a fresh set of 2013 Super Bowl odds out, and among the usual suspects are the Houston Texans, who at 12/1 are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles as having the fourth-best odds of winning it all this football season. The only teams in front of the Texans are two recent champions - the Green Bay Packers at 6/1 and New England Patriots 13/2 - and the San Francisco 49ers at 10/1.
The Texans have the second-best odds in the AFC (behind the Patriots), ahead of the heavily publicized Broncos and Steelers at 16/1, and the Ravens at 18/1, who eliminated the Texans last year.
One of the reasons Houston is considered a rising favorite for the big game and an almost certain lock for another playoff run is the woeful AFC South. At the bottom of the odds are the rest of the Texans' rivals - Tennessee (50/1), Indianapolis (150/1) and the Jacksonville Jaguars, dead last with 200/1 odds.
