LSU, TCU To Open 2013 Season At Cowboys Stadium, Working On 2014 Game

The LSU Tigers and TCU Horned Frogs have reportedly agreed to open their 2013 season at Cowboys Stadium earlier on Tuesday. That report has been confirmed by LSU associate athletic director Verge Ausberry, however he has also added that the details have not been completed for the Cowboys Stadium game, and also mentioned still playing TCU in 2014:

"We're negotiating toward a game with TCU in Cowboys Stadium but we have nailed it down yet," said Ausberry, who is in charge of scheduling. "It's going to be a one-game deal, but we're also looking at doing something with TCU in 2014. We don't know where yet."

In the original report, TCU and LSU were going to just play a 2013 neutral site game, but as Ausberry noted, the teams are now looking to set up another neutral site game in 2014.

Opening the 2013 season at Cowboys Stadium will be LSU's third time playing at the stadium, as they played Texas in the 2011 Cotton Bowl plus they opened the 2011 season against Oregon.
