Texas A&M Vs. SMU 2012: Final Score And Game Recap

With an emphatic, 48-3, victory over the SMU Mustangs, the Texas A&M Aggies put their first W in the win column in dominant fashion.

Freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel continued to look impressive in the victory with a 20-36 passing performance with four touchdown passes, along with 124 yards rushing and two touchdown runs. His day was done after just three quarters, as head had already led the Aggies to a 41-7 lead.

While the defense allowed over 300 yards of total offense to the Mustangs, they managed to keep SMU off the scoreboard until a third quarter field goal and didn't allow anything after.

The Aggies will see the field next when they host South Carolina State in College Station at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 22.
