Former No. 3 overall NFL draft pick Vince Young is out of the league six short years later, and worse, he's reportedly bankrupt, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The former Texas Longhorns national championship-winning quarterback was guaranteed $26 million by being the No. 3 pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2006. Attorneys are arguing over Young's spending habits and a set of inexperienced advisors and managers that includes his uncle. Young is reportedly back home in Houston.
Young was cut by the Buffalo Bills in August after trying to make the team as a backup, the same role he served with the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
Young's future once seemed unlimited after leading the Longhorns to a Rose Bowl victory and national title over USC in 2006. The Houston Texans passed on Young -- and former Texas high school star Reggie Bush -- for Mario Williams in the 2006 draft, allowing Young to fall to the Titans at No. 3. He won the Rookie of the Year award in 2006 and made two Pro Bowls in his career, in 2006 and 2009.
