LSU Vs. Auburn Update: After 3rd Quarter, LSU Leads 12-10

The Auburn Tigers managed to mitigate the damage of its mistakes, but the LSU Tigers added a field goal to take a 12-10 lead after three quarters in Auburn.

Auburn's Quan Bray dropped a punt return near midfield and LSU was able to move the ball into Auburn territory. But consecutive Kenny Hilliard rushes left LSU a yard short of a first down and Les Miles opted to kick a field goal. Drew Alleman knocked home the 30-yarder and the second-ranked Bayou Bengals reclaimed the lead at 12-10.

After moving Auburn to midfield on its next possession, quarterback Kiehl Frazier threw a jump ball floater intended for tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen, but it was intercepted by LSU's Luke Muncie. Despite the mishaps, however, LSU only managed the three points in the quarter.

LSU running back Spencer Ware currently has 80 rushing yards on 12 carries, while Auburn has managed just 137 total yards.
