Late Sunday afternoon, it was Brandt Snedeker, not Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy, who captured the 2012 FedEx Cup title.
Prior to the Tour Championship, Snedeker was in fifth place in the FedEx Cup standings, trailing McIlroy, Woods, Nick Watney and Phil Mickelson in the standings. Snedeker, however, finished ahead of the superstar quartet of golfers, after winning the Tour Championship with a score of 10-under.
McIlroy finished the Tour Championship well off Snedeker's pace, at 1-under. McIlroy, however, still finished in second place in the FedEx Cup standings.
Woods, Watney and Mickelson rounded out the top five of the final FedEx Cup standings for 2012.
Justin Rose had the biggest leap of anybody on Sunday, moving from No. 24 to No. 6 in the standing after finishing in second at the Tour Championship.
A full view of the standings can be found over at the PGA Tour's official website.
