Towson vs. LSU 2012: TV schedule, game time, spread and more

Sophomore tailback Kenny Hilliard and the LSU Tigers will play host to Towson on Saturday in Baton Rouge.

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Looking to start 5-0 for the fourth consecutive season, Les Miles' Louisiana State Tigers will welcome the Towson Tigers to Baton Rouge on Saturday for what can only be described as a tune-up game.

The third-ranked Tigers narrowly slid by rival Auburn, 12-10, in a tight defensive struggle in Week 4, and were dropped down one spot in the national polls due to the lackluster performance. But against a Towson program that was already blown out by 20 points by a mediocre Kent State team this season, Miles will need to hope that his offense can figure things out in a big way before traveling to a hostile Florida environment on Oct. 6.

The anchor of the Tigers' running game, 240-pound tailback Kenny Hilliard will expect to bounce back after failing to find the endzone for the first time all season against Auburn. Hilliard leads the Tigers with 343 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground, and could be in line for a season-high in carries with Miles and company eager to put last week's middling performance behind them.

Game time: 6 p.m. CT

TV channel: ESPNU

Spread: LSU -35
