The Houston Astros travel to Pittsburgh for a three-game series against the Pirates, looking to continue working on finding their own way under interim manager Tony DeFrancesco. The Astros are just 2-11 since DeFrancesco took over the team, with the pitching and batters still struggling.
Jimmy Paredes has just three hits in six games since being recalled from Triple-A, with the converted outfielder 1-for-9 in the three-game series against Cincinnati.
The Pirates, meanwhile, are still fighting for a Wild Card spot despite going just 3-7 in their past ten games. Pittsburgh trails St. Louis by 1.5 games.
